Tours

From early in its history, NCCGB has given its more experienced members the opportunity to visit and sing in other countries.
We have been to:
Australia & New Zealand 2004
Canada & the US 2008
Italy 2012
Spain 2016

There is currently a four-year cycle for overseas touring, which we hope will allow everyone the opportunity to take part during their membership of NCCGB.

The Tour Choir is usually made up of Senior and Green Choir members; if more places are available, Blue Choir members can audition for them. Currently, the minimum age is 12, as tours can be both physically and emotionally demanding – although they are, of course, a lot of fun!

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, in 2018 we took a group of 74 choir members to China, to perform in Beijing and Shanghai. We have a long-standing relationship with the Beijing Children’s Palace Choir, and shared a social evening, rehearsals and a concert with them.

NCCGB believes that touring is a wonderful experience for its members, both musically and personally, and we hope to be able to organise more tours in the future.
